Le Relais Day Shelter

Le Relais Day Shelter offers a warm welcome and a valuable information source for visitors to Lake O’Hara.

The shelter is located near the end of the Lake O’Hara road (approximately 11 km from the Lake O’Hara parking lot trailhead). Le Relais should be your first stop at Lake O’Hara for the most up-to-date information on trail conditions and wildlife sitings. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you choose the trails best suited to your interests and hiking abilitiy. You can also purchase trail maps, hot and cold beverages, and light snacks. Cash only, US dollars accepted at par.

Le Relais is open daily from mid June to early October,  8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

During the summer months, the Lake O’Hara bus stops at Le Relais.

Le Relais is operated by the Lake O’Hara Trails Club in cooperation with Lake O’Hara Lodge. It was designed by architect Dale Windle, and opened in September 1989. Profits from Le Relais are used to maintain and improve trails in the Lake O’Hara area.
